Inspired by his father, a mechanical engineer who ran the Model Shop at A.O. Smith in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, as well as electrical contracting and steel fabrication businesses, Mr. Peckham embarked on a career in engineering, working as his father’s first employee when he was 12 years old.

Mr. Peckham is the founder and former President of ACS and currently functions as a working principal, overseeing strategic planning and managing projects for industrial clients.

ACS was conceived by an emerging market demand for a full service construction management firm and Mr. Peckham’s active response to fulfill the needs of his clients. When Harley-Davidson Motor Company and John Deere discussed their changing project delivery needs in the late 1980s, Tim listened, and provided a solution. That solution was the creation of ACS, a unique engineering and construction services firm that works as a team with companies seeking unique expertise and flexibility in the delivery of construction management services.

“ACS Delivers” isn’t just a company catch phrase, it’s a statement based on results and client satisfaction. It was Mr. Peckham’s commitment to delivering quality solutions that founded ACS, and today it’s a commitment sincerely shared by each of its nearly 100 employees.

As President of ACS, Jim provides overall strategic leadership and confirms the ACS commitments to integrity, long term relationships, and excellence in all of our actions.

In addition, Jim specializes in the management of institutional and research & development facilities, with a specialization in laboratory animal facilities.  He has extensive experience designing and building animal labs, managing the design activities of architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical and piping systems, and managing the integration of lab animal equipment into complex research environments.

Kurtis brings his skills to the ACS team as an electrical engineer through the design, fabrication, installation and commissioning of systems and facilities. Kurtis has experience working with the end user, engineering design teams and construction contractors to develop effective solutions for test cell operations. He currently leads ACS’ British and European operations, overseeing project and product quality and building and maintaining ACS’ customer and vendor relationships while delivering engineered, creative and well managed solutions.

Lee oversees the project management team at ACS as well as actively working in a project management role. He specializes in the integrated project delivery of engine and vehicle test facility and equipment projects. With his background in the petrochemical and refinery industries with a specialization in clean fuels initiatives, Lee has a broad array of experience related to the transportation industries as well as process industrial settings. He has extensive experience in leading greenfield, relocation, and renovation type projects as well as managing the integration of specialty systems into complex research and production environments.

Scott manages the Business Development and Marketing efforts at ACS and is an engineer with 18 years of design, construction, and business development experience. Scott works closely with ACS clients promoting awareness of the company's strong ethical business philosophy, first class services through personal client interaction, unique expertise in integrated project delivery and commitment to sustainable design and construction.

In his roles as Project Manager and Group Lead of the general construction team, Bob utilizes his experience and knowledge of general construction systems and techniques, project management, and integrated project delivery. Bob currently works across a variety of project types including engine and vehicle test, science and technology, and commercial facilities.

Matt currently leads the Test & Measurement Systems group, providing systems integration services across a variety of project types. Systems Integration Services are defined as a fundamental knowledge of building design and construction combined with expertise in industry regulations, testing technology and applications, and the ability to fully integrate building and test systems.
