Systems Integration

ACS Systems Integration Services deliver functionality by utilizing a fundamental knowledge of building design and construction combined with expertise in industry regulations, testing technology and applications, and the ability to fully integrate building and test systems. The process starts with the indentification of the application, data requirements, and acceptance criteria, proceeds through installation, and concludes with a four-step commissioning plan confirming all functionality requirements.

The specialized team includes: Materials Management, NVH Applications, Systems Engineering, Data Management & Integration, and Field Support.

Materials Management - Equipment Specification, Selection, & Procurement
ACS takes a vendor independent approach to equipment specification and selection, working with the client to find the optimal solution for each testing need. Our flexibility allows us to work with the client to specify, select, procure, and manage the design and delivery of the test equipment. The equipment is procured with no additional mark-up, allowing the client to receive the greatest value. Unique test equipment expertise includes instrumentation, dynamometers, data acquisition systems, air handling systems, and emissions equipment.

Noise, Vibration and Harshness (NVH)
NVH services include writing acoustic door, window, sound enclosure, and sound absorbing panel specifications. NVH personnel specify acoustic treatments to meet ISO 3744 and ISO 3745 testing capabilities in anechoic and hemi anechoic rooms. From the facility perspective, ACS specifies and provides design requirements to support acoustic testing. This includes the selection of silencers and providing design input for air supply systems and return air plenums for units servicing acoustically sensitive spaces.

Systems Engineering
Services include 1D modeling software to model test and facility systems. Simulation aids result in equipment selection and optimization of process control strategies. ACS utilizes BIM tools and strategies for complex layouts of test equipment and facility systems to identify critical elements such as clash detection prior to installation. Working with mechanical, controls, and fabrication teams, ACS designs and builds custom components required to support testing processes and projects.

Data Management & Integration
ACS provides custom solutions to integrate and centralize data from disparate systems. These solutions include migration of recent and legacy data into custom build central storage facilities or commercial systems. Services also include design and implementation of custom software solutions including data acquisition and controls systems based on proprietary hardware and software, and reporting and integration with database management systems.

Technical Field Support
The team is supported by a technical field support group that provides services to client locations around the world including projects across North and South America, Europe and Asia.
