Both Kettle Foods and Staples office supply company are using the development zone credits. The two businesses
"I welcome Kettle Foods, and assure you that you will find a great workforce here in our community," Robson said. "I have been working hand in hand with Beloit leaders for the past six years to make the Gateway a success and to bring more family-supporting jobs to Beloit. I applaud the city leaders on their tireless efforts. They have done a wonderful job in promoting this business park, and in promoting our region as a great place for food manufacturing."
Robson applauded Kettle Foods for finding ways to re-use byproducts of the manufacturing process rather than landfilling them. The company converts 100 percent of its waste vegetable oil into bio-diesel fuel.
"If you see a Kettle Foods car with a flower on it, remember it is running on bio-fuel, not gasoline. The gasoline-powered cars we replace with bio-diesel cars, we will have cleaner air and less dependence on foreign oil," Robson said.
