Test and Measurement Systems
The ACS Test and Measurement Systems Group bring together the expertise of testing technology with a complete knowledge of industry regulations. Unique services include vendor independent equipment specification, selection, and procurement, complete systems integration, Noise Vibration and Harshness (NVH) engineering, development engineering, data management and integration, and a field support network.
Vendor Independent Equipment Specification, Selection, and Procurement ACS takes a vendor independent approach to equipment specification and selection, working with the client to find the optimal solution for each testing need. Our flexibility allows us to work with the client to specify, select, procure, and manage the design and delivery of the test equipment. The equipment is procured with no additional mark-up, allowing the client to receive the greatest value. Unique test equipment expertise includes instrumentation, dynamometers, data acquisition systems, air handling systems, and emissions equipment.
Systems Integration Working as an extension of our client's staff, ACS delivers value by developing and implementing a systems integration plan that includes developing acceptance criteria, and then coordinating, overseeing, and confirming acceptance testing. Upon completion, the process ensures the client is collecting quality, repeatable and timely data in a cost effective manner.
Noise, Vibration and Harshness (NVH) Services NVH services include writing acoustic door, window, sound enclosure, and sound absorbing panel specifications. NVH personnel specify acoustic treatments to meet ISO 3744 and ISO 3745 testing capabilities in anechoic and hemi anechoic rooms. From the facility perspective, ACS specifies and provides design requirements to support acoustic testing. This can include the selection of silencers and providing design input for quitting air supply systems and return air plenums for units servicing acoustically sensitive spaces.
Development Engineering Services include 1D modeling software to model test and facility systems. Simulation aids result in equipment selection and optimization of process control strategies. ACS utilizes BIM tools and strategies for complex layouts of test equipment and facility systems to identify critical elements such as clash detection prior to installation. Working with mechanical, controls, and fabrication teams, ACS designs and builds custom components required to support testing processes and projects.
Data Management & Integration ACS provides custom solutions to integrate and centralize data from disparate systems. These solutions can include migration of recent and legacy data into custom build central storage facilities or commercial systems. Services also include design and implementation of custom software solutions including data acquisition and controls systems based on proprietary hardware and software, and also include reporting and integration with database management systems.
Field Support The team is supported by a field support group that provides services to client locations around the world including projects across North and South America, Europe and Asia.
