From a young age, Daryl Rothamer was interested in solving problems. In Junior High, he excelled in Olympics of the Mind, an organization for kids devoted to competitive, team-based and creative problem solving. In high school, he graduated 3rd in his class, and ultimately found his calling in engineering at Michigan Tech University. Daryl is still passionate about solving problems.
Daryl is working to spread that passion and to help others find such a perfect match of interest and career at an upcoming presentation at the Madison College STEM Center on Wednesday, September 27th from 4:30 – 6:30PM in the Truax Campus Main Building room C1450.
Using his own career path as an example, Daryl will address the many ways an engineering degree provided opportunities for advancement. From high school to an ownership role at ACS, he’ll share his journey to help students chart their own course and illustrate numerous opportunities in engineering. He’ll also use key case studies of complex projects at ACS to bring STEM to life, hoping to spark interest in STEM careers for tomorrow’s workforce. Daryl Rothamer—giving back to STEM.
