There are not many 4000 HP-plus AC dynamometer engine test cells, but with the drive for sustainability and reduced operating costs, one of our major customers decided to invest the capital for both high-end test performance and long-term payback. The systems are currently being commissioned but have successfully absorbed 5000 HP & 14,500 ft-lbs of torque from the high-horsepower diesel engines they’re specifically designed to load!

ACS has significant experience in engine testing, facility infrastructure design, and medium voltage, high-power drives to deliver cost-effective and reliable systems that meet customer testing and power recovery needs. Over our 20-year history, ACS has installed more than 160 engine dyno test cells of all sizes and applications around the world. In addition, nearly 40% of them have been AC dyno test cells.
