ACS designed and built a cold room test cell inside an existing operating facility. The construction duration and intensity were managed to eliminate disruption of ongoing testing in an adjacent cell. ACS and Caterpillar developed the engine data acquisition system, with ACS developing the facility systems controls and safety PLC.

Key Performance Features:

  • Cold start testing of diesel engines down to -40°F
  • Integrated three-part control system designed to leverage the expertise of the various parties involved
