Performance Test Cell Upgrade

As part of the DDC development program for the off-highway engine line, ACS delivered four performance test cells along with corresponding control rooms and a 5,000 sq. ft. mechanical penthouse. The complex renovation was executed in an operating test and production environment and was delivered utilizing a phased work plan to meet the needs of ongoing operations.
Key Performance Features:
- Mechanical penthouse was built utilizing open space on existing facility roof
- Maximized existing available space by converting the component test area into a new control room and emissions equipment room
- Siemens PLC systems installed for testing critical utilities including combustion air, fuel systems, engine coolant, aftercooler, and engine exhaust
ACS Services:
ACS held a single-source contract for design and construction management; equipment specification, procurement and installation; integration of equipment and facility systems; and, commissioning.
