Articulating exhaust system for engine test cell ventilation accommodates a range of engine size and configurations

ACS designed, engineered and built complete in-cell articulating engine test cell ventilation systems for handling the exhaust from production testing of rebuilt engines. The exhaust systems were designed to accommodate testing of a wide range of engines and configurations.

The exhaust arm rotates around its base and telescopes both horizontally and vertically, allowing for maximum versatility. The articulating exhaust arm eliminates the need for multiple rigging adapters to connect the engine to a fixed exhaust duct within the test cell. ACS built the exhaust systems for engine test cell ventilation at our manufacturing facility and conducted Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) prior to shipping the units for installation in the customer’s new test cells.

Key Performance Features

  • Articulating exhaust system for engine test cell ventilation provides for 180° of rotation and horizontal and vertical travel of the exhaust duct.
  • Control panel includes door-mounted intuitive push-button controls. Rotational limit switches were designed into the system.

ACS Services

Design, engineering, build, and FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) of three complete exhaust arms and control panels.
